Rottingdean Beach Clean Follow Up

October 11, 2013 by Rottingdean Leave a Comment

Rottingdean September Beach CleanThe September Rottingdean beach clean was a huge success with one of the largest turnouts yet with 30+ volunteers picking up and measuring the types of litter.

Just to prove why these beach cleans are important here is the detailed catalogue of what was picked up from Rottingdean beach… in total 10.66 kg of waste was collected, this includes nearly 2kg of uncatalogued waste, mostly small to microscopic pieces of plastic

To see more photos from the beach clean head on over to the The Deans Beach & Environment Volunteers Facebook page. All photos were taken by the very talented Light Whisperer

The next beach clean takes place on Sunday 13th Oct at 11am in Ovingdean. Meet at the seafront cafe

UPDATE: The October beach clean is CANCELLED…see you on Saltdean Beach for the November Clean.
