The people of West Street have at last seen a new pavement installed after many months of campaigning by local residents. Thanks to the efforts of John Bustard and Anthony Delow of Rottingdean Parish Council, Brighton & Hove City Council engineers completed the work within a week.
The new pavement connects the ‘nib’ at the western end of the street, which was constructed last year, with the section of pavement outside the store itself. This now provides a safe route in and out of the village along West Street from the South Coast Road and is a benefit to both residents and people visiting the village from further afield.
