Two very different opportunities are coming soon at the Whiteway Centre: the first, to listen to a distinguished speaker who works at the cutting edge of research into the ageing process, which sooner or later affects us all. Professor Richard Faragher, of Brighton University’s Biogerentology Department, will be leading a study day on Saturday, 27th February, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, entitled “What is Ageing and what can we do about it?” Aimed at the man/woman in the street with an interest perhaps in delaying the ageing process, this should be an enlightening day. Places can be reserved by contacting email@example.com or by phoning 01273 304180. The cost of the day, which includes a light lunch, is £30, payable to Rottingdean Whiteway Centre.
Then we have another Whiteway evening on Friday, 4th March, at 7.30 p.m., when local resident and former TV presenter, John Edmunds, will talk about his experience “Being on the Box”. The last time John spoke to us, it turned out to be a stimulating and hilarious evening. Admission (£8) is payable at the door, and includes a glass of wine and nibbles.
