Jane Hedgewich is running a foraging workshop on the 27th October and 24th November, both will be half at Rottingdean Beach. We will be looking at the health giving properties of all the different seaweeds and how nature is supplying us with immune boosting and delicious food to help us stay as healthy as possible through the coming months.
The workshop includes making your own nettle tea, either a mushroom omelette or Fresh miso and seaweed soup, followed by a late summer fruit and berry pudding, which we will be gathering for, cream optional.
But all depends on what is ripe and what we can find on the day, but it will be a very informative and enjoyable day.
We will be out for about 5 hours, with lunch or tea at the end of it, i will give you notes of the most common ‘free foods’ to take away with you, so you can start to see the world around you in a different way, one of free food, whether it is in a park, down a country lane or your neighbours garden, you will not view the world around you the same again.
Times will be early as the lowtides are early, 9am or 8am on the 24th Nov.
