Bazaar And Rummage

March 22, 2013 by Rottingdean Leave a Comment

Written by Sue Townsend this is the funny and moving story of a self-help group of agoraphobics who come out to run a bazaar and rummage sale. Moved forward by the enthusiastic trainee social worker, Fliss, and held back by the helpful volunteer Gwenda, each of them starts coming to terms with the outside world and the causes of their illness.

Best known for The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Sue Townsend brings her carefully observed and sensitive characters to the stage with touching and funny reminiscences mixed with affectionate and sparkling repartee.
During the interval of each performance, there will be real bazaar and rummage sale. The sale will help the Drama Society raise funds for a good cause, so please bring your cash with you and prepared to fight for the bargains.

This play contains some strong language so might not be suitable for children.
