“An Evening with Longman Brewery” at the Queen Victoria, Rottingdean, East Sussex – Thursday 3rd October, 7pm to 10pm
To celebrate National Real Ale Week, Jamie Simm, Head Brewer, and the team from Longman Brewery will host an informal evening at the Queen Victoria, Rottingdean (Casque Marque and Good Beer Guide 2014). They will have a range of samples of Longman products and will take questions and talk about both their own ales and about brewing ale in general.
During Real Ale Week, the Queen Vic will be exploring the huge variety of tastes and colours that brewers can produce from the same base ingredients of hops, barley and water. There will be a wide range of ale styles available ranging from Longman’s Long Blonde (a golden ale) to Langham’s Black Swallow (a black “IPA”), as well as examples of American Pale Ale, Amber Ale, traditional IPA and Sussex Ale.
